Hi!

I've just got the educational licence and the navigation is 10x time slower than the 1.2 demo version... also My Imac 27 crawl on everything when Octane is open.
Is it about the internet connection?

I have a wifi 60Mbps Down and 10Mbps Up.

hi,
the internet connection is needed only for activation or for livedb materials, so it doesn't matter for the navigation.
if your system has only one gpu or you are using one gpu for both display and octane, you need to activate in Preferences/Device Manager the priority for this specific card. there is a button in the viewport where you can switch between low, medium and high priority.
in general, low priority is good for setting up the scene because a portion of gpu is gave to the system for display, and high priority is good for the final render because all the power of the gpu is gave to octane
