How to use an image sequence within textures

Hi,

As per the title, I hope someone can tell me where I'm going wrong, as I can't get an image sequence to render within a material in Octane C4D.

Here is what I do:-

1). Create a new Octane material.
2). Put an 'ImageTexture' in the diffuse channel.
3). Within 'ImageTexture' point it to the first PNG file of the image sequence.
4). Click 'no' when asked if I want to create a copy at the project location (it doesn't work in standard C4D material unless I choose 'No'.
5). On the 'Animation' tab click 'Calculate'. Nothing happens.
6). Play around with the settings in this tab but without success.
7). If I tick 'Editor' then 'Animate Preview' nothing happens.
8). Whatever I do it will not animate the image sequence either in the viewport or when I render to the picture viewer.
9) This process works fine for standard C4D materials, both in the viewport and renderer.

I'm on Octane C4D 1.53.1, C4D R15.

Any help greatly appreciated :-D

Thanks!

It does work even through can be finicky.

put the sequence in its own folder in the root folder where the C4D file is and point the texture to that folder.
The main thing is the animated texture need to be a native C4D material and try to have the folder of the textures in the root folder. Note: it does not have to be in the tex folder,

it should work better than you talked. it works on imagetexture and bitmap. also in environment. also it may found in any subfolders of tex. you have to set ranges manually in imagetexture. there is a few samples on samples package

Thanks both - putting the image sequence in the tex folder fixed it for me and it worked with an Octane Material.
