I think you mean:
1.02 Rc3 != Render engine 1.01 beta.
You want to render a scene, which was rendered with an older version of the plugin.
This older version has another PPG layout which is saved with the scene and which is incompatible with the new one. Some parameters in the Render PPG are changed, added or removed. In Arnold, you have a command to update the PPG from the old one to the new, which i haven´t. This will be a fix i can add...
Old scenes have also the problem that each shader isn´t the same as before.
You have also to update all shaders.
To solve the problem, you have to unistall the addon, load all scenes with the old renderer and delete the render property from the passes.
You can read it here:
http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Softimage/?page_id=82
Hope it helps a little bit,

You want to render a scene, which was rendered with an older version of the plugin
Or you can do the following: New Scene - File - Merge. And merge old scene, but you have also to update all shaders.

I resolved, by the way, the error was the image below.
Thank you. By i would like to ask one thing: In the previous version of the plug-in, when the meshes ware loaded in the memory for the render, in bottom left corner of the rende window the names of the processed mesh where showned. SO is very important to understand tht OCTANE is workin and is not crashed. Now this process is no more visible and there is a text that say SET MESHES.
Is a prsonal problem or you removed this important verbose info?
thank you!

Hey Face
Can you make a little update to access OctaneCamera directly from the LensShaders of the camera panel ?

Ok, the render work, but every time that i try to do a second render after the first one, XSI crash.
The plug in REALOAD again the meshes, with the text SET MESHES fixed, and still blank screen forever, until crash.
What is my error?
I have to update something else?
thank you!

Octane_ThinLens_Camera & Octane_Panoramic_Camera shaders works well but not OctaneCamera
Edit : It seems Octane_ThinLens_Camera replace OctaneCamera shader ?

The only way is the Gescort Tip then update all shaders in the material manager ... I couldn't delete Octane plugin like Face told it.
