Open render setup (F10) and go to "common" section, set the image aspect (for example: 1.333)
then go to Octane render settings window, set the image aspect the same parameter (1.333).
last, in perspective viewport, activate "Show safe frame" (Shift+F).
Hope this help

Thanks rfox. I'm about to try again. wanted to update all my installs first
Karba,
I was using 1.3 but I just tried to install 1.50a and it fails to copy vcomp100.dll.
edit:.. Even though it failed to copy vcomp100 it still works. I seem to have a vcomp100 in my max root already, and camera correction seems to work now in 1.50a as well.
Thanks
