Hi guys

Just have a few Questions

So it has come to my attention that we cant get Cinema 4D as a student license <----- is this true?

Also if i purchase a license i would like to ask - Everytime i want to use octane on another machine so lets say i have 2 machines and i want a license on both machines does that mean i would have to purchase the stand alone twice? and then also the cinema 4d license twice. Or can i buy the Standalone once and buy as many cinema 4d licenses to work off the one stand alone?

Hope that makes sense?

In summary: do i need to buy every time a stand alone plus what ever package i am using so in this case cinema 4d together as a separate license.

Every computer that is going to use the C4d plugin needs both the plugin and and stand alone.

Don't know 'bout plugins, but at least standalone(from what I've hearded) will be free (1.5 version) after they release 2.0 =)

Yes, only 1rd parties has this option. We have no any plans for that, because it's 3rd party.
You can deactivate/activate the one license on other computer.

To use a plugin you always need a standalone license, too. Both need to be activated. When they are activated, they are bound to a specific computer.

You can deactivate licenses via the OctaneLive account page and then activate the license on a different computer again. In the past you had to wait 60min, but that should be instantaneous now. But if you deactivate again and then want to activate it on another computer, you have to wait 60min.

That's not correct. After 2.0 is out there will be a free student version of Octane Standalone (and the Blender, Maya and 3ds max plugins) based on 1.5. Currently the student version is of 1.20.

This is frikkin amazing!
I mean I am damn so happy to have 1.20 free with Student License, and now you're saying we're getting 1.50 too!

Or maybe not? Student License prior to 1.50 will be stuck in 1.20?

Either way, I am just so happy with this one.

Now with the v2.0 is out, is there a price for student licence? What is the politic?
I'm interested with the OSX modo plugin.
