Hi guys,

I've finally managed to get around to rendering out my M4A1 weapon I made a while back.
Octane is absolutely my favourite renderer and since discovering the reload geometry button I've been using it as much as possible. When was that added?

Hi, Very good modelling. Impressive work.

Just one thing is surprising me : The Laser sticker says Helium-Neon laser. I doubt. Helium-Neon tubes are big and require High voltage power supply. I have no knowledge of miniature devices of this kind of technology (of years 1980). All current miniature laser use solid state Laser diodes working on simple 3V Lithium or Alcaline cells.
As a second point : this kind of sight is a Red Dot Sight with illuminated reticle, and is not supposed to emit a laser beam. And so most often doesn't require a laser (simple LED). However, some devices have a laser diode, but the beam is not emitted outside the device. The actual L3 device uses a solid state laser diode, as seen on the sticker. The funny thing is that even the manufacturer use generic stickers saying Do not stare in the beam, Avoid Exposure, Laser Radiation Emitted from this aperture : and the arrow is pointing at the output lens on the side of the eye !

Despite the laser sticker, this special version for Zombies Hunters has no laser, just a special biohazard illuminated reticle... for fun.

Hey Roubal, thanks for the comment.
Haha, I love your reply! Great info there. It's awesome when someone with a LOT more experience points these things out. I'll do a bit deeper research next time. I'll leave it as is for now as a reminder ;) Thanks again.

Cheers Bendbox :)
