No sooner than I start on one project I begin another. I would like to make a museum exhibit filled with ancient Roman artwork.

Hi jory.
There is so much to say I don't even know were to start, I'll try ; )
I see from another post of yours that you are pretty new to 3D making and rendering so for a start I should ask you which software are you using for modeling, could be useful..
As for this post I will point out few suggestions :
1) it is very dark (Daylight? make it brighter) and I think that you are trying to get a shot of Room corner with a frame on the wall and a display? The frame seems to me , judging from the shadow projected that it's not properly set on the wall but more floating in the air. The display is far from the camera and is so dark I can barely understand how is done..
2) Camera angles and position, like for your lamp I would try to experiment few different position and camera aperture, there are zillions of examples even in the Octane gallery to understand how to get a proper shot, it is just like making a good picture with your real camera as we all are trying to achieve here is Photorealism really so..getting a proper OR interesting camera angle and Focus is Vital..
and If I may rise an objection is about the watermark, it is quite big and in the very middle of the image and it won't help commenting your work, I understand the issue of copyright but frankly a little text placed on the corner of the image will do, and if you are worrying about your personal design being copied just don't post it..easy.

I do not see you do this work, something to someone engaged in plagiarism), there is much more advanced work and all the rules, no one steals. We're here too, not just people who have their head and their thoughts
Besides it has nothing to steal)
If you expose here probes, please, without the inscription, nothing is clear. In the gallery you hardly take

Ok...
1. I am extremely new to 3d modeling so I appreciate the constructive criticism.
2. I render almost exclusively with Blender 2.49b (yes, I know 2.5 is out.

I simply like 2.49.)
3. As for the watermark...I have a bit of a situation that is FORCING ME to clearly mark these images, however unpolished, to prove they are my work. I'm definitely not worried about the excellent artists here, stealing my...."art".

These images were posted on Myspace.com, along with several other sites and I was worried about certain groups of people on my end. It's a bit of a screwy situation. I realize that I have a ways to go, and from now on I'll post the unmarked versions up for critique.
4. In Blender, I placed the Painting flush against the wall. It has caused me a little confusion as well. Still not sure why it is rendering with a space
between the wall and the obj.
5. I felt bright lights make the fact that all the materials are uniform and rigid, more apparent. So I used a dark setting. I realize that's a poor way to show the work so I'll avoid it in the future.
6. It's direct-lighting.
