Aoktar,

Hello sir! I was wondering if you had any *rough* idea when the Cinema4D plugin utilizing the new 2.0 updates would be ready. I realize this is still probably a ways off but I'm planning a bit bigger project and would love to know if this will be available. Do you know if this is like 3 months, 6 months, a year away? It would be great to just get a sense of roughly how far off this is.

I also just wanted to say thanks again for all your hard work on this plugin, absolutely amazing work... keep killing it sir!! :)

m.

Hi winkelmm,
i think that will took between 1-2 months to release. Displacement, hair rendering, distributed rendering and full motion blur will be most valuable new features. Also other's which is announced in 2.0. I hope this makes some sense.

It's nice to see that love it, thank you

Best,
Ahmet

While it is question time, Ahmet, will it be possible to use the plugin on C4D 11.5? My r12 is not the Studio version, so many of the 2.0 enhancements are unavailable.

Sorry, i think, it's not possible due lot of uncompatibility between SDK's. I don't want to lose the current stabilisation of plugin.

The timeline for release has been for mid summer according to Otoy. So thanks extending out lives because when you actually exciting anticipating something times moves more slowly.

So take more time even if takes four months I rather get a stable fully solid version that is production ready.

Hi,
most features are working, need more time for better integration. Hair and motion blur integrations is going harder than i thought.
But currently i get that motion blur is working well. C4D's system is not soo user friendly for gpu renderer like Octane. This is making that simple things are much harder.

For release date:
Maybe we can start a early public beta stage, but this may be syncronised to other plugins. If many people wants that, we can check this.

For pricing: Probably, all updates will be under standart pricing. 1rd or 3rd party plugins can be free for first plugin. This is as announcement of Otoy in GTC. Any first plugin will be free on upgrade of Standalone.
