Query on running two different graphics Cards

Greetings!
I got my self a license immedietly after trying out the demo and really digging the results on my models.

I'm a hobbyist graphic artist, gamer, tweaker and a programmer,
and generally use my computer as a multimedia center.

Recently, I upgraded my system's graphics card to 480GTX (1.5gb) from 260GTX ( 764mb),
And now while waiting for my product activation key, I began wondering.

Is it possible for me to utilize of both of my Graphics cards while running Octane, with octane using both graphics cards to render?
I've read something about CUDA, but I haven't really gotten familiar with it.
and are some things I should take to account?

Greeting to you, :)
You could use both for rendering but it wouldnt be a good idea in this case because the vram available for Octane would be 896mb and it would run slower than the 480 on its own.
If you want you could use the 260 as the display card ie monitor attached and dedicate the 480 to cuda ie Octane rendering.
This would have the best viewport navigation and render at max speed.
You really need 2 identical cards to boost performance and then it scales almost double.

Alright, Thanks for the heads up :)

I did the exactly same thing.. 260 gtx to 480 gtx.. the performance is a bit worse actually when using both cards to render and you get more screen lag, so best thing to get another 480 gtx, I wander when will nvidia start releasing cards with like 2-3 gb on gaming cards?
