Hi you all,
Does the brand of GPU matters?
In example I now can choose between a ASUS Titan Black and a MSI Titan Black with exactly the same specifications;
the only difference is 20 euro.
Do you have better or worse expexience with one brand or another?
Is ther in general to say someting wise here?
And in other cases you might choose from EVGA or even otherwise....
Greetz,

if You would compare reference models they are all more or less the same. & I doubt anyone could tell any difference.
when it comes to non reference models with custom boards & coolers all the funs starts there..& it's hard to say for sure who takes a lead because they are always competing, real easing new technologies, bit different coolers etc.
EVGA has strong community, there are step up program if You wish to upgrade Your GPU so for some that's a benefit that take into account before buying.

Yes it is board design and coolers usually. Some modify the power section of the board and advertise it with "stabler power" ... but I never saw a problem with that on any card. The coolers differ in noise and effectiveness ... most customs blow mostly into the case, reference ones a bit more to the backside and out. Some makers have extended warranties ... EVGA usually lets you take off the air cooler without warranty failure for those that want to attach water cooling blocks. Some cards produce coil whine even at relatively low FPS in games (most produce it at very high FPS), which is an annoying high pitched noise. Some coolers make much more noise than others etc.
My preferred cards atm come from MSI. The TwinFrozr cooler they make is just the probably most silent factory fitted air cooler under load available at the moment(still clearly noticable under load of course, these cards produce strong heat). I did not like the Gigabyte Windforce cooler. On both card, several fans made slight scratchy noises .. while the other fans were absolutly silent. Gigabyte didn't fix anything when I sent them in and had to wait 5 weeks. I won't buy anything Gigabyte again, personally.

For my own, I have a preference for EVGA, but it is not related to the quality of the product : They generally provide cards with more memory earlier than others.
