noob question: octane or krakatoa for particles rendering?

Has anyone tried both Krakatoa and Octane to render particles? I know it depends on what and how many GPU's and CPU's (for krakatoa), but if anyone tried both and could tell me his/her experience, i would appreciate it. I am doing some particles animations in cinema4D and i am wondering if it's worth buying krakatoa which is a particle renderer, or not. I currently have an over clocked 4.5 i74770k CPU and 1 GTX 780 GPU. I am planning to buy GTX 780 6gb in a few days when it will be released.

Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks.

Octane doesn't support particle rendering at the moment.

But there is an option which you can check for particle rendering at "updates" if i remember well (not home to check right now). I have seen alot of particles animations rendered with octane. It only works if using geometry as particles?
Thanks
