Units and mapping

Hi
I have this issue.
I draw in Meters in Sketchup, and import geometri from Sketchup via FBX link.
The units is set to Meters in 3ds Max, but every time I add a textureimage in 3ds max / octane, I need to scale the textures like 0,001 - is there some settings I can change, so the scale become 1 x 1?
I'm sure I have overlooked something :-/

Make sure your units to use are correct on the export/import settings via FBX dialog.

Sure is me that messes things up :-/
I draw in meters in Sketchup - units set to meters.
In 3ds max I set System Unit Setup > System Unit Scale to 1.0 Meters.
If I export to FBX as meters, the linked model gets very small.
If I export to FBX as centimeters, the scale is right in Max, but then I have the texture issue :-/
I think I need some basic help here :-/

From many years now, i've always been told to leave system units at inches even though i use meters..so i just change the display units to meters...
its been working for me so far...only issue i have is when i have to simulate things like a glass water etc..

Thanks for your input.
Are you using 1x1 for texture scaling?
If I export as Meters from Sketchup to FBX, and link the file in 3ds max, where System Unit Setup is set to Inches, and display is set to Meters, the model comes in just fine. And if I draw a simple box in 3ds max, it has the right size. But when I add textures, I need to use scales like 0,005.
What is stange, if i add a box in 3ds max and leave "Real-World Map Size" uncheked, I can use texture scales like 1,0....

jorgensen Hi,
In My case since ive always used 3dsmax and not maxdesign from the beginning, i actually tend to ALWAYS avoid using "real-world map size" as for me the concept although useful, is always confusing...so im not sure about your question as 1x1 texture scaling...
i always tend to NOT use real world map size.
in any case...funny this question just popped up, because JUST NOW in fact i received an email from youtube showing new videos on autodesk channel, that supposedly explain units and mapping issues!! there are 3 videos that i think u should look at
