gpu memory

I have a 3gb gtx 780 gpu and when i load an empty scene i have only 2600mb free and 15mb used. Shouldn't i have a total of 3000? Is there a problem with my computer or this is normal?

Are you using another GPU to drive your monitor? If the 780 is your only card then possibly it's using some of the memory to drive your display and work with your C4d scene?

Oooh you are right, this has to be it. I have no other gpu, this is the only one in my system. Thanks for the tip
