just in case you are about to buy a new card for octane, be warned that the mentioned gpu aka "maxwell" line can't be used with the current 1.2/1.3 versions of octane...

Yes I've just bought a 750ti, mainly to power my monitor, but tried it a couple of days ago on V 1.35.No I can confirm it doesn't work at the moment.I have mentioned it to Abstrax on 1.35 release version thread though.
Lets see if they can get Maxwell working in next few versions! Other than that, its a great little card for the money...70 deg C in Games running at 2560 x 1440 and is clocking up to 1228mhz as standard without me touching the overclocks or over voltage !

You know, it just figures.

Yesterday I purchased a Geforce GTX 750ti. Installed it, no issues. Everything running swimmingly.

Today I purchased Octane Stand Alone and the DAZ 3D plug in.

I was eager to get home and start experimenting, then I saw this.

Octane is supporting this card now; as of Version 1.54 http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=40083

Get onto your friendly local plugin developer to make a build which supports it.

have fun

Yes, that's the problem. Saw that, bought the card. Bought the software.

$600 later and it doesn't work.

since i'm still (yes) in progress (indeed) bringing the current 1.2 release to 1.5x and 2.0x versions (which means quite substantial changes to the octane api), a new build isn't quite what would be enough.

it's about to come though...

What does that even mean?

It does work right now? It doesn't work?

If it doesn't work, when is it going to work?

this means maxwell works since the 1.54 octane api release, which is available for 5 days. and since the daz plugin is still in transition from 1.2x to 1.5x/2.0x it will work as soon these version are released. they'll come both at around the same time... when they are ready.

I can confirm that the latest DAZ plugin works on the 750 ti, esp the viewport in DAZ
