Tonysculptor Skin Advice Needed

Hello Everyone,

I´m learning a lot about skin and the liveDB at the moment. With some materials I feel pretty confident and get decent results. However, I can´t really grasp the workflow with tonysculptor´s skin from the livedb.

How do I apply it to my characters and get it to work in a proper way? When I apply it it´s just a red/purple plain material that doesn´t really resemble skin. I thought maybe I need to put in maps to make it work?

Any help is appreciated =)

I second this question. I am also very new to Octane (and loving it, along with the DAZ plugin), but I believe I read somewhere on here that that particular material doesn't work right in DAZ and that you must use it in the standalone version. I know exactly what you're talking about in terms of the color as I briefly tried it in DAZ a couple days ago. I have not had time to experiment with it in the standalone yet. If no one else can chime in I will try to post anything I find out when I get a chance to explore this issue further.

It works now, the issues was with the 2013 version of the plugin, where DAZ would crash when loading it. As far as I can see, it works as in the stand alone. I don't get HOW you get good results from it when pluggin in image maps, but it works the same way.

Yeah I remember in the old version I never even managed to get it to load...however now that it´s working I´ve tried to plug in the image maps but can´t figure out where exactly to plug them in.
