The latest AWS G2 instances have 60Gb SSD boot. Why is the octane workstation using really slow disk. I appreciate the extra space but the disk IO is terrible. Is there any way to change the instance to support faster disk IO?

This can be configured when you boot your instance on G2 (separate from the AMI), it is not available on other instance types.
