Modern gathering room

Actually this old model I did and is kind of a WIP but I wanna do new stuff and I won't work on it no more
Here is a bug I have with Octane : I did this black bumpy metal for the fireplace and the same material went to (I dunno how to call it in English) that border that joint side walls to ceiling and floor... I double checked my blender file and I do use different material for both these parts... what's the deal?

Nice render....if I could get 50% of this quality I would be happy. I too have had same issue with materials. In Max, I painstakingly assigned different materials to different objects (after already doing this in AutoCAD), yet in octane some materials where common, and could not be changed. I have been battling with octane for a while now, read all the tuts and still dont get very far. At the moment I have to stick to Maxwell for renders until octane workflow improves, or I improve

Thank you for your kind words WestCAD. I remember someone else had the same problem too but I can't remember if there was a solution to it... I will post about it in the testing thread...

blender will screw up materials if you try to export nurbs or text that has not been converted to a mesh before the export ( even if you tell it to covert it to a mesh during export ). If you tell it to convert during export it does, but then it loses materials, however this shouldn't be the case if you use the octane exporter in development.
