Any possibility that there will be a plug in for Artlantis in the foreseeable future?

Hi Anubis312

We don't have any plans for this at the moment.

Thanks
Chris.

I also checked into this last year, and at that time there was no API for Artlantis, so there is no way to access scene geometry. materials, etc, making a plugin technically not viable.

Hi everyone,
First of all, sorry if I’m writing here. I would create a new topic, but I think I’m not allowed to do this at the moment.

I’m a civil engineer student and till this moment I’ve always used Archicad + Artlantis for my architectural works. Anyway I’m not happy anymore of the Artlantis realism and I would like to pass to Octane standalone.

Now, my questions is:

If I export the rough model from Archicad, can I add from standalone Octane any furniture (in example: beds, carpets, sofas, all small furniture objects, ecc. )? The reason of this question is because Archicad furnitures are very lowpoly (and there is small choice), and for the works I’ve done till now I’ve always added in a second moment the furnitures in Artlantis.

I know that I should try the demo first, but unfortunately at the moment I don’t have any compatible pc with nvidia cuda… and I really thank you in advantage for any kind answer to my doubt.

The Octane plugin for ArchiCAD allows you to load OBJ objects, set Octane materials for them, and render inside ArchiCAD. There is a demo version of the plugin. Standalone will also allow you to add OBJ's - but that's then an additional process.

How come anyone still uses Artlantis? In my opinion there are 2 solutions for ArchiCAD users: Octane and Thea. Both allow to load OBJ models. Both use GPU (however Thea is GPU, CPU, GPU+CPU based biased and unbiased renderer).
