Hi, just basic stuff but does octane use real size for scenes? I mean, should I keep an eye on the real size of the objects being lighted?
thanks

Yes, Octane is physically based and thus it is wise to stay as close to real-world paramaters as possible.
That includes the way you think about light and camera functions.

the manual said all units are meter. But that info is only for the Standalone version. There is no way to change the scale in Standalone. Sometimes its a bit confusing me especially when you look at the aperture size and would like to compare it with known values from real world. The Aperture Size often is in mm or cm...

Values of aperture or AO distance, etc.. in octane controls are in meter.
Other Geometry and other objects is converting to correct values. cm. or m. is not a matter.

nothing is confusing. Keep your objects is on the real size. If you have a man which is 1.80m. it will give correct results in Octane.
