Emitter dimension problem with direct lighting

Hi all,
I have a lot of problems in my scene when there are large and small emitters together in direct lighting.
In PT no problem at all but in DL if I set up the small emitter and then I activate the emission node in the large one, the illumination of the small one disappear.
I have prepared a simple scene for testing. There is a small "pseudo" LED of 5mm of diameter and a large emitter of 1mx1m.

I have an idea what might be going on here. The problem is a bit, if we fix this we need to do more work in direct lighting, and it will get slower, we'll try to think of a solution.

Thanx brecht, I hope you can find a solution without slowing DL, it would be good for interior animation in direct lighting ;)
