This is a scene i did for indigo 0.6, some time ago, the Audi model is not my production.
I have now done it with octane 0.8: time: 36 min with GTX 9800, 312150 triangles, 137 MB memory used, 2048 samples/pixel, path tracing with default settings, no HDR or other
I see some fireflies on the image, on the floor but 36 min instead of 13 h (Indigo 0.6 with old AMD 2000+) is really a revolution, i think this is the future!!
I need some practice with materials, of course.
Suggestions and/or crits?
Mario

Looking good.

I ran this through a program called "Hotpixels" that removes fireflies easily (good until MLT is implemented in Octane.) Here's the result.

You can play with the floor material to reduce the fireflies by increasing the roughness slightly and playing with the specularity.

The red plastic drum is too shiny as well. I'd dull them down a little more. I work in the chemical industry and there are usually only two different plastic drum colors, blue and black. If you changed the red one to black, it'd be more realistic.

If you really wanted to increase the realism of the scene, it needs to be dirtier. Adding specularity maps to the floor and most items will quickly give the scene more believability.
