Revit Plug-in install

Hi,

During the intital Revit plug-in install, the splash screen tells me that Revit is not installed in the selected folder. But it is. I can go in to the folder that the default install is set to and start Revit from the application file. I have a fully-functional, legal, Building Design Suite version of Revit 2014.

Please let me know why this is not working. I am coming from Maxwell Render which has terrible customer support.

Thank you,

Geoff

Hi,

I found the error I made. The default install for Octane's plug-in is into the "Revit 2014 Architecture" folder. There is no such folder. Revit 2014 is not divided into separate disciplines like earlier versions. It is all one package with Structural/MEP combined. FYI...

Thanks,

Geoff

Hi Geoff

Yes - the installer does not detect the install path of Revit - you need to tell it where it is.

There is a new demo version and installer available form the Autodesk Store - http://apps.exchange.autodesk.com/RVT/e ... ows64%3aen.

If you end up purchasing the commercial version, pls uninstall the demo version first.

The Revit plugin will soon be updated to run with Octane 1.23, which provides addition texturemap projections and transforms, which are a big bonus given Revits limitations in these areas.
