Demo Version Issues

Hi Paul (or others! :D),

I hope your pre-Christmas break rush is panning out smoothly!

I'm getting the attached error repeatedly on Revit 2014 using the demo version of Octane standalone, with Demo version of Revit Plugin.
Two times it happened today were:
1. opening the O4Revit plugin for the first time,
2. I had closed the viewport, and minimised the plugin settings window and clicked the New 3D Camera button

at OctaneRenderPlugin.HostManager.SaveAllMaterialsToSceneSaveData(ElementIdviewElementId)
at OctaneRenderPlugin.HostManager.SaveAllOctaneInfoToSceneSaveData()
Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Using the demo today because I didn't have time to deactivate my workstation, so I could activate on my laptop; trying to get a scene right, so I thought I'd just install the demo for the commute.

Might be isolated to the Demo (it is version 1.20.1.20 to?)

Hi Andrew

I am reasonably certain that that error also happened in the full version of the plugin, and is resolved in the latest build (1.20.1.20). The demo version if much earlier than that - but we have a new demo version awaiting release (just had to make 2 minor changes), so this issue should be fixed in that demo release.

No Worries,

It didn't affect usability, I was just interested - will you announce the release of the new demo version?
I may use it going forward, I actually didn't mind the pixel limitation for troubleshooting scene issues on the train; and I'd prefer to get a Rhino plugin than buy another seat just for myself on my laptop: I Never/rarely work in parallel on two machines while at home/office.

Hi Andrew

The new demo version should be available from the Autodesk Store - in maybe 2-3 weeks time - so you will download it from there (or the save version should be available from the Otoy site too).

Available from the Autodesk store? that's great news for Otoy - and us users by extension!

more exposure -> more users -> more funding/resources -> more features! yippee! :D :D
