Object buffer : Octane - C4d = no match

Hi,
still testing octane (mainly with the plugin), and wanted to make an "object buffer", like i'm use to, with c4d…
Unfortunatly, when rendered, the object buffer does no match with my objects rendered with octane…
Missing something ?
Thanks for your help

Hi Huv,
To have Object ID working, you have to wait the end of the rendering in Octane (and/or choose less maxsamples). These channels are computed after the end of the Octane rendering.
But you'll loose the aperture parameters of the Octane Camera I think (Aoktar ?). Working with Material ID (Deep channel kernel) and channels in Photoshop is maybe a better solution in Octane (EDIT: But not THE solution, I agree...). Excepted if you don't work with aperture of course.
I hope this will help you.

Hi,
installed yesterday the RC2… mask problem seems to be ok

, i'll test other scene to check and let you know…
But i do not have any object buffer in the plugin even when render is finished… i can only find material id, correct ?
Thanks

Hi Huv,
I'm not sure to understand
Do you speak about rendering in previewer or rendering in visualizer?
In Octane previewer, indeed, you'll not see Object ID mask because it previews only pure Octane results.
In visualizer, you'll be able to compute additionnal informations like Object ID mask (computed by CPU, not GPU). But it's only a trick in case you don't use FOV.
Another ideas? Bepeg? Aoktar?

Hi,
colored render (model not mine) :
Material id with octane :
Object buffer with C4d (ar) :
As i'm used to the classical object buffer of c4d, i wanted to use it for this exercise… But the previous version of the plugin (0,99),
the result of the object buffer with c4d, did not match with the colored render of octane… so my object selection was almost 5 mm on the right…
