Texture Transform, how to?

Hey,
loading the Transform shader in an octane texture slot will give me access to a rotation/scale/translation matrix, but there is no possibility to connect to or load in a bitmap. It is named "transform" only, but I also got a "bitmap transform" once, but cannot reproduce that.
Opening a bitmap first or via ImageTexture shader and loading Transform after that in same slot like cinemas layer shader would do will delete the bitmap. How should that shader work?
