Ok... if Paul is jealous... then I must have the right card coming. Does it matter I got the SC (Super Clocked) version with the ACX Cooler... extra cooling fans.
Thanks for reassuring me
Anyone want a GTS 570 for a boat anchor or something?

Nope... using it now to type here... just wanted a card that could handle bigger scenes without all the tweaking to fit inside it's limitations.

I debated between that and a Titan... ended up with the Titan. A little slower but more video RAM. I think. Both nice cards though!

Installed and humming... well actually with the extra cooling fans and clocking it up with the included software... it's quite quiet really.
Finally I can do scenes again with daylight and lots of props and figures. Alpha Seed and stonemason stuff, no longer a problem except for some of the texture conversions.
If you want grunt, get a mortgage and get a better card.
