Hi Paul

Is it possible to for plugin to look a directory where I can keep all my textures (non revit ones)and convert them when I use the plugin.

When I assign custom maps to materials, they dont convert automatically in plugin.

I was hoping that a directory could be serched by the plugin and any referenced maps could be imported automatically.

Doing it manually can be pain....

Yes, the Revit API has some limitations in this regard, and I (and many other people I think) have highlighted this issue with Autodesk. In summary, it is not possible for any plugin to determine the texturemaps used on a material which is not in the standard Autodesk materials library (hopefully Autodesk will fix this in Revit 2015). It's not just the folder that cannot be obtained, it's the filename too. So "Save as Default", exporting and saving Octane materials are the best option for this - setup the texturemap once, and then make sure you save the material (export or save as a favourite) so you never have to reassign that texturemap again.

1. I can't load a texture if it's contains non latin characters (i.e. cyrillic).
2. Is it possible to realize material preview on a sphere as it done in standalone version?

Can you pls email or post the texture here - and I will fix this problem.

This can be done - I just don't know where the preview would be displayed!

1. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw1G_7 ... sp=sharing
2. I'd like to see material preview by clicking right mouse button on material name and then selecting render in context menu. The octanrender viewport window will to switch from scene to material sphere. On this window had better to add the button to return back to the scene.
