Hi, just a short question:

I have one license for standalone (even if I don't need it for C4D)
and one C4D Plugin-license.

If I want a second C4D plugin license, do I also have to buy
standalone again?
I need Octane for a second machine and cannot activate it, when octane
is already running on an other PC.

are you sure, that for 2 C4D licenses I need also 2 standalone?
Because you can buy a 3 seat c4d license if you own a standalone.
So I think I can buy for 99,- Euros a second c4d-plugin license
to work with my already purchased standalone.

Or I'm wrong?
I would invest 99,- Euros to get a second license, but not again 279,-.

I'm not sure plugins can work on other pc's without standalones.
Personally i prefer to have a choice as you say, but you should ask to Otoy for that without doing something wrong.

I could desperately need that for an actual project.

I removed my standalone and the plugin works without pb

there's no need for Octane Standalone for plugin to work, but..=) You need to buy it, that's the way it is =) You may ask why? well, developers of Octane Render might answer Your question more precise, but..this will not change anything =) the question was already asked on the forum and the answer was straight forward, You need to buy StandAlone licence too =)

well, I know its working without, but I have to activate the plugin!
And to get a second license for a second pc, I'm not sure if
I need to buy a second standalone as well (for activating).

I sended a mail to Otoy. Will see.
