Linking light power with expression hangs the IPR

Well, It's all in the title. I regret we can't multi edit Octane lights (change settings for all selected lights) . So I figured I could link the E (enveloppe)power of all lights to the first. (lots of windows in an offices building) I just applied the first light Power to all of them. Now, the interesting thing is, I can render with f9 or f10 (with Octane, not lightwave native engine of course) but trying to preview with IPR just hangs Lightwave until I kill It in the task manager.

Can you please send to me a simple scene with this issue to test it here?

I will send the scene later tonight. I was also wondering if tehre was a way to control how far the ambiant occlusion fade off (direct lighting Kernel). Not the distance of the ambiant occlusion but say you have the ambiant occ set on 1 m but you'd like the gradient to fade off faster (sharp black line at the intersection and fade off faster .)

Here we go:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/610 ... ssions.rar
So when you click on the "E" (enveloppe) you can change the master light intensity and all the lights will follow. BUT if rendering with F9 or F 10 works, the preview freezes and I have to use the task manager and kill lightwave to stop It.

Thanks. Your scene also freezes the Layou here. I will try to fix the problem.

I don't found the problem yet, something fail inside Layout when there are expresions and they are evaluated out of rendering context.
As workaround, if you want to link the light power of some lights you can use the normal Intensity parameter available in all light sources. In the octane light this parameter is a mutiplier of the Power, so you are going to have the same effect.

Ok, good to know. Do you think we will be able to multi edit lights (ibtensity, efficiency, color) in the futur? This is very usefull
Another way would be to be able to instance lights, changing the master would change all of It's descendent.

I will try to add this feature, but not sure if it is even possible with the current LW SDK.
