Cannot install updated plugin

Hi,

I attempted to update Octane (per the possible memory leak in the earlier email suggestion) and now the plugin will not install--initialization failure according to Rhino.

I attempted to install via the standard Rhino procedures: Tools-options-plugin-install...

The rhp is not blocked--I checked under the rhp properties.

I did not encounter any difficulty the first time I updated the plugin.

I'm using Rhino 5 SR5 and attempted both the latest stable and test versions of the Octane plugin.

I even uninstalled and re-installed the Octane plugin via the control panel, but to no avail.

Any help would be most appreciated!

Hi Nathan

Can you pls post or send me a screenshot of you C:\Program Files\Otoy\OctaneRender for Rhino5 folder (in "Details" mode - so I can see the file dates and times).

Also, Nathan - if you are comfortable using Regedit, you can do a complete uninstall of the plugin by removing the following keys...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\McNeel\Rhinoceros\5.0x64\Plug-Ins\f109bd23-4cf3-4c0b-9f83-06be474b0152
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\McNeel\Rhinoceros\5.0x64\Plug-ins\f109bd23-4cf3-4c0b-9f83-06be474b0152

The you can reinstall the latest plugin and Rhino “Tools” -> “Options” -> “Rhino options” -> “Plugins” -> “Install”. Simply uninstalling and reinstalling the Octane plugin via the Control Panel does not clear out the registration of the plugin with Rhino.

EDIT: I may have found the issue - hold off on the above for the moment pls.

Sorry - it's the TEST version you need to download and install.
