Two Characters.

I have owned a copy of octane for a long time now but never really got a chance to really do anything more with it than just play around. Lately, trying to make some of my personal work shine for my portfolio, I decided to learn Octane more in depth. I took some of my old characters (modeled for real time) and spend some time trying to make them look good.

I have really fallen in Love with Octane's philosophy and I am already working on a much more realistic piece, eager to get to the rendering stage.

Anyways, I know it is quite different from the usual posts here but... Here are two of my favorite characters. I hope you like them.

They are superb. Particularly like the first one. How have you done the motion blur?

"SLOTH LOVE CHUNK!"

Excellent work!

(I'm a little worried that no one will have a clue what I'm talking about.)

((Goonies the movie, y'all.))

(((Also, this is my first forum post. Hello.)))

Thank you for the compliments! That's really flattering.

gordonrobb: It's in fact mostly depth of field. The "motion blur" is just done in PS using 2 or 3 layers with different values of directional blur. Nothing magic I'm afraid.

That being said, if any of you is looking for character art I'm available for hire.
