I need a manual or a quick start guide because i don't understanding a lot of option about octane:

How the different "pathtracing and diretlight"? Change the speed of render?
What are the icon you can see in attach image?
There are other many question about software...is urgent help!!! :cry:

Hey,

Other than the videos and posts on this forum, we can't supply any other documentation.
We're currently building a documentation wiki site.

It will be available soon, if things go well i think in about a week.
I suggest you play around with stuff, to figure out what does what :)

any questions, ask in the forums here...

i view the video now and i understand what are the icon on the top....but not the others!!

the icons below (on the nodegraph editor),
allow you to toggle previews.

eg if you click on a material node, the viewport will change to a material ball with your material so you can preview it.
those 4 icons allow you to enable / disable this for the 4 kinds if viewable nodes,
eg rendertargets, objects (meshes), materials, and textures.

There's a short PDF manual with the commercial 1.0b1 release, I suspect it will be added to the next demo.
