3D noise supported?

Hi there,

are those fancy 3D Noise shaders supported yet? You know, Cranal, Ober, Luka, Hama, etc...
I would need their space to be set to "world". (Not UV or Object)
Does Octane for C4D know how to handle that?

Thanks for any quick answer!
Regards,
Cornel

Hi cornel,
Plugin supports this shader in hacked way:

You can try octane generators like RidgetFractal, turbulence texture. These are working in 3d space

Thanks for your answer, aoktar.

Sadly, RidgetFractal and turbulence texture are not what I'm looking for.
Their appearance differs to much from Cranal and Ober, and baking those to texture will cause a loss of it's 3D nature.
Anyway, thanks. Hope this will make it on your to-do list? ;)

yes, it's not similar. To do 3d mapping is not possible because of method. Shaders are baked to textures and you may know bitmaps cannot have 3d mapping only uvmapping. We can expect more large native support from Octane Sdk in future, also scripted shader language
