Nomenclature / label names

Hi there
Been using Octane for a week now, and i'm very impressed. I have a question though - everything is labeled in what i think is more developer friendly, than average user friendly terms - I don't know what a Gaussian float is, or why my Russian roulette probability should be left at the default value. I am aware that I'm using a beta software, and that it is not finished - so I'm not complaining, but rather suggesting that the naming should be evaluated before a final release, so as not to scare away potential customers.

Cheers

Hi,

We develop a render engine, not a car ;)
Please read the manual, it explains what everything is and does.
You'll soon realise you don't even need to know what a gaussian spectrum or a russian roulette probability (which does not require change) parameter is, just play with the sliders and you'll learn fast.

we'd like to keep octane a render engine instead of a low-end consumer application.

Yours,
Radiance

well, I understand better octane than my car, but that probably means that I use it more  (also, I'm more scared of crashing my car than Octane)
