Clay render (Override mat)

Hi all

I know there's a clay render mode in the standalone, does it exist in 3DsMax plugin?

I mean, like the "override material" in Vray?

I got a fairly complex scene and I'm in the process to set my cameras angles, with all the glossy / specular materials and the IES lights, even the previews take a while to render clearly enough to confirm the angle / DOF / lighting...

I know I could simply copy the scene, apply clay to everything, then set the views and merge the camera back into the original scene with the proper materials, just wanted to know if I could skip this...

You could either use Scene states or State sets..
Check the manual.

Thanks for the feedback Suv but the manual indicate the location of the feature on the standalone version, and as indicated in my original post I'm looking for it in the 3DsMax interface.

I've been instinctively looking for it in the Render Set-up without success, where should I look for?

I was talking about 3ds max. 8-)
You could use Max Scene states to save different material situations of your scene. Save your original materials as first state, then make everything grey and save under another state. Just an idea.
