Float file out support on roadmap

Hi, truly love Octane. Just plain awesome results...

But... we're really running into retouching issues because of the lack of 16float image out using the exr file format.
It would be so awesome and really open up the usage case scenarios for us if Octane did this.

How far down the roadmap is this feature? 8bit is really not cutting it and is making it tough to do some of the awesome things we want to do with Octane...

Cheers,
J

EXR support is one of the biggest factors that has kept Octane on the sidelines for us using it in production. With EXR many of our issues would be addressed as well. +1

Hi,

we'll first concentrate on getting MLT out as well as fixing issues for 2.3 and will look after. So yes, it will happen but unfortunately no date set yet :)

Thanks for your suggestion tho,
/M
