Asus P8B WS and Pentium G2030 problem

I just bought a P8B WS mainboard, and added a low-budget Pentium G2030 with iGPU (HD 2000). I added two gtx 580.

Octane 1.16 now crashes/freezes on startup screen :? (when you see the old man with glasses). I installed the latest drivers, and cuda toolkit 5.0.35.
Also the mainboard drivers are installed.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? Is it maybe the combination of a professional mainboard and a low-budget cpu?

May your HD 2000 don“t support OpenGL in a version Octane need.
OpenGL draw the GUI for Octane.
Start Octane from a command shell (cmd) with "octane.exe --no-opengl" (without quotes) in the installation folder of Octane.
This switch to a software mode.

Cheers, mib.

I think it maybe seems that this board does not fully accept geforce cards. In the manual I can not find any notice of this.
I installed a quadro, and it works. But a geforce 580 gave me a bsod and problems.

Can anyone confirm this?

Bryan Cranston is 57 years old... Yes, Rikk (artist) could have decreased his z-depth when doing wrinkles in ZB... Just saying...

Hahaha, yes, maybe the Octane team should have used some photoshop retouching ;)

This doesn't seem likely. I have never heard of it (but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist!)

What is your PSU?
Have you tried the 580's one at a time? Maybe one of them is broken or you don't have the power for both?

Thanks
Chris

All the cards work, PSU is a 1250W Coolermaster, also works as it should.

No sli is supported, is that right?

Obviously plenty of power!

Correct, don't use SLI.
(either disable it in the nvidia control panel or don't even put the sli connector on if you never want to use it for games).

Have you looked for updated firmware for your motherboard?
Perhaps also check temperatures of the cards?

Thanks
Chris.

The board is only quadro and tesla certified, amazing!
I put 3 quadro`s in it, works like a charm. GTX gives no result.

So I completely destroyed the board, and got a Maximus V E. :D
