I have made a 100% correct Technic Lego truck every piece is there in the model. I borrowed the real model from my brother and used that as a reference and used the instruction manual for building the model in Maya. First I have modeled every single piece Maya when that was done I started playing with lego in Maya.

Very nice, how long did it take you to model it all out..
Legos always look interesting as models..

It's simply awesome, both the concept and the Lego model too.

@iknowmedia - Is it best practice when exporting from Maya to Octane, to triangulate the mesh? Or is this done automatically by the script? Great model and render!

Very accurate. Congrats.
The only problem that bother me is square floor.
I would use float image of on opacity slot of white circle with blurred edge,
to have a nice transition from floor to background.

Thanks for all the nice reactions
@kubo, It is 100% fun after you have made all the parts it's exactly like playing with lego.
@acc24ex, It was 2 days of modeling all the parts and 2 days of going through the four manuals and do every step it says.
@Phr0stByte, I have triangulate the mesh because I have made most parts with Maya booleans and that gives me a ugly topology result. Some I fix onter I triangulate and did the job. But mostly I import quads in Octane not sure if that's is recommended.
@peterd, Thanks a lot for that tip never thought of that

if you can get me an .flv compressed version i'll be happy to add the turntable to our video gallery, if you like that.
Nice work, although the plastic is just a bit not shiny enough, especially the red plastic, but nice render nonetheless.
