hi,
this is wrote from scratch. c4d has no support on material and textures for node based editing. my editor is still experimental and will try communicate between octane and c4d nodes. it supports octane material and shaders now. so you can get any octane material to editor, edit and send to as c4d octane material. main purpose is to provide full material editing workout breaking any feature. also will provide fast and easy node editing. also most nodes will have preview icons. many operations can be done directly in this interface without needing standart material editor.
I like to share at this moment because to hear some advices for that.
best,
Ahmet

Will it complete be the same as in standalone? Will there be access to every shader and function like in standalone?

must be more usefull, it support two side editing. With own new parameters editor or c4d material editor.
Also yes i'll put all needed nodes there for material editing.
