Probably will cost your first born son but 12GB of RAM would hold some really nice Octane Render Scenes. A render farm of these would be suh-weet.

^^this

Think that was what I meant in another thread regarding prices for 6GB cards to drop. A higher mem titan is likely down the road with the release of that Quadro 12GB.

I'm not entirely sure that we will see a 12GB Titan II this generation. Sure it's possible that lower binned GK110 chips meant for the K6000 could be turned into Titan II's but they could just as easily show up as normal Titans or even GTX 780s.

Also notice that despite the K6000 having all 2880 cores enabled compared to "just" 2688 on the Titan that it performs slightly slower due to a lower clock. With the Quadro you're really paying for the extra VRAM, qualified drivers and the ability to synchronize multiple displays (up to sixteen 1080p or four 4K with 4 K6000's + the Quadro Sync card) which in turn requires that huge amount of VRAM.

With that said: I wouldn't mind buying a $1200 Titan II that had 12GB of VRAM if it became available.
