Increasing AO amount

Hi. Is there a way to increase the AO to more than 1. I'm looking for a way to make some renders with very strong AO effect. I don't want to use dirtmaps because i would have to apply this for hundreds of materials. Just want a way to dial it in and see it in realtime

not sure if it will work completely, but you could try messing with the Gamma in the camera response. might have to tweak other stuff otherwise everything will look more contrasted, but hopefully this helps.

Thanks for the tip but adjusting gamma would affect the entire image. It would be nice to be able to dial up the AO beyond 1 to add more AO to enhance the effect. Currently I have to render another AO pass and composite that in Nuke.
