problems : white spots with pathtracing

Hello, i'm a big problem ! When i run my render with the pathtracing mode, i have a lot of white spots on the screen.
Do you know how to solve this problem ?

those (I guess) are our friends the "fireflies", search the forum to know more about them and how to tame them (or post a picture and I'm sure people will give you some helpful advice).
Check this two threads to do some post on the image to kill those bastards:

Also a first tip would be to check your bump maps, they are usually setup with a high value (they work fine with something from .1-.3) and shed tons of those dammed flys

Look for a small app on google called hot pixels. Its a small app that will get rid of them, though it can degrade the image if it is bad. In the new version of Octane with MLT we shouldn't have to worry about them anymore.

How about just post process using Photoshop or Elements and use the spot healing tool.Assuming that you don't have to many hot spots to worry about ,it should get you out of a jam :ugeek:

actually in photoshop dust and scratches works like a charm
