 . But I think you can improve this scene a lot. I understand that this a simple example of an interior space, but a lot tweaking can expand this. For example more rotation on the books(more randomness), improved reflectivity on the wood(more on the front angle) and some slight desaturation of color and brightness could help. The carpet does seem to work that much here, not sure I think it's the shape that's off. Try a constant shape for the carpet, the textures fine. One last thing would be try more direct light on the scene as it always seem to add to the overall composition eg. sunlight through window, and then play with sun and sky colors.

				Hi Matty, thanks for your comments, and I totally agree with you there's still lots that can be tweaked in this scene. Adding sun is a nice way as you say to mix the light, would be great to have this feature integrated into Octane many people have suggested this.

				daveyt nice images, you can use bookmanager for books is easy to use with  few reference books

				Hi Merid I looked into the book manager script, looks like a nice tool!
But i think its for 3ds max and I'm using blender, would be nice to have.
