Embedded textures

Hi all.

I´m experiense some problems with conversions between Archicad and Octane.
It is when I load an library file (*.lcf) from a stand alone provider into Archicad/ Octane.
It seems that Octane can´t read the textures embedded in the *.lcf-files.

For example:
http://vbvisual.com/en/3D-Plants/VB-3D- ... ction_ms=1
Maple AC
Maple AC
AC Render
AC Render
Error
Error
Octane
Octane
I´m experience the same with:
https://bimcomponents.com/LCF/Details/817

Anyone that has experienced the same? I could of course work around it, creating "own" materials with textures in Octane. But it would be nice to get it to work :)

Please advise.
Thanks

If you can locate the texture images that are used for the tree object you can assign them again in Octane by selecting the material, and then set it to glossy and assign the different images to the difuse, specular, opacity, normal and /or bump nodes.
Hope that will work for you.

Hi Olle

The texturemaps that the plugin cannot find are not individual files on the Window file system - they are instead embedded textures in the lcf library. The easiest solution is to extract the lcf library, then the texturemap will be individual files that Octane can load. Pls see http://render.otoy.com/manuals/ArchiCAD/?page_id=274 question 12.

Does that address your problem?
