Hello all, my name is Isaías, i'm an architect, with great passion for 3D and image, I have been using lots of programs to render final images and something was always missing until I found Octane, the tool I always wanted...still got a lot to go to be able to do the work I want but the journey has been amazing.
I have been here many times reading many post and trying to learn from all of you.
And for those tips I want to say THANK YOU.
I use 3D to develop the architectural project and to explain thoughts to clients so this images are WIP and still under development. Hope to make the final one´s if I have time.

Model in SketchUp and Blender and render in Octane.

a good day to all of you from Portugal :D

hi, Resmas.

nice images You've showed here.

few tips, if You're looking to improve though:

* try to get vertical lines pararalel. architectural photography has it's own "unwritten" rules..we see world diff than camera does, so if You take a shot of a house, be sure Your camera is targeted paralel to ground level, or.. if You can't frame the shot, offset camera target to get desirable distortion of Your perspective.

* for exterior shots, get the blue/yellow split nicelly. even if Your shot has yelowish sky, You still get blue tint from the other side - this color balance is something we all could easily feel, but it's sometimes, not so obvious..I believe atmosphere is the first thing You need to setup right, before putting anything else to increse photorealism.

* I don't what setup You're using for interiors, but they look a bit of gamma (gues). read a bit in forum or elswhere about linear workflow a.k.a. LWF to improve realness of especially interior shots..- this might be tricky, but it is well worth, 'cos eaven lighting could help You to cut render times, at the same time too.

that's it for now! Please post some progress, as it seems quite interesting project You've got here!

cheers

Hello Glimpse, thanks for the reply.
Yep camera not always right, there are 2 reasons for that...the main one is my knowledge about photography(not great :? ) and the second is that most renders are made to show a lot of info to clients, this images are not to publish but to explain the organization and what the space of the room can have. (so that's the reason some furniture is not as good as I wanted...its between not low poly and not that heavy, some of are made by me and other are free object from web)
Once again you right, lots of work in here....its a try...try...try thing until I get it right

Well interiors shots have been a WAR...frustrating sometimes...when I think I have the right light...to much noise...when isn't noise or firefly's...its a bit washed out....
I saw something about LWF in forum I will check it out more closely to learn what I can.

Lets hope I can make the final render in a near future to try achieve the next level.

Thank you for your words mate and keep up with the great work I have seen in your posts.

Sorry many English too...its like my knowledge of photography...I can take the shoot but...its different from those who can capture a moment in time.

Best to all
Isaías
