Got a bee in my bonnet about the ZBrush - LW - Octane pipeline. So just tried this as a test.

Zbrush object. Decimated, then ZRemeshed to much smaller. GoZ to modeller to clean up some of the problems this caused. GoZ back. Then divided a few times and projected original. CReated displacement. Divided another few times, projected and created a normal map. GoZ'ed over to Layout, surfaced in Octane - Boom.

Love it.

really nice test =)

few questions though:

* why You decimating it if later You remesh it?
* so I understand, that displacement only was used inside zb (?!),
but You've got normal map out?

Cheers.

To answer your questions.

The recommended process for using ZRemesher is to first decimate. Especially on a high poly object (which this is).

Regarding the maps, you can see in this image (rendered in LW). The low poly (from ZRemesher), the displacement map (only) created in ZB (at level 4) and the with Disp and Normal (Created in ZBrush from level 4 to level6).

Hope that makes sense :)
