Hi all
I am having a hard time with clothing and bump or lack of bump map application.
The clothing I use has bump maps and despite cranking it way up in poser then also increasing git in Octane i see no change at all, so i figure i am missing something.
Would anyone have advice on how to get a texture to show better / at all with clothing, is bump change no the right setting in octane?
thanks

Can you post a screenshot of the Octane material tab for a material which is not rendering the bump pls? What version of the plugin are you using?

Tanks Paul,
I am traveling all week but will post the poser settings, Octane settings and a sample image Saturday. I am sure its me. I am using what ever Octane pulls in and not changing the node but started to mess around with them after seeing the lack of texture on the cloth.
On the plane I plan to re read the manual this week too.

I noticed that all versions previous to OctaneRender ver.1.20 were having an inverted bump setting.
Meaning that everything white had the biggest "dent" inwards, while black was "pushed out".
Now I haven't had time to play with ver.1.20 much yet, but I read that they may have corrected this issue now.
So maybe, when using an older version, using the invert option of the bump pin could help.

My own experience of bumps not working was with the standalone. I couldn't get them to work previous to version 1.20. Also sometimes they aren't noticeable so you have to fiddle with the scale setting. The equivalent might be true in the plugin.
