Hi Rodrigo,

Can we please get more info? Maybe some screenshots of your tests that don't work as you expect?

Thanks
Chris.

put environmental image map to environment map slot from max. Then you can see the background image.

Jum, thanks a lot! BUt, found out.. when i turn the sun ON it disappears.. octane light is ok, but the sun "removes" the background.

thats a bug or what??

Let me explain better.. i wanna do this.. (i did in mental ray.. but dont know how to do in octane)..
the background as a picture and this ball rendered and the floor as matte shadow (shadow catcher).
Is this possible!??

Octane sun + environment map working together is not supported. You should use octane light+envrionment map instead of sun+env.map.
Another way, draw a hemishpere and put the panaromic envrionment map on it and add octane sun. So you can get closer effect to sun light + environment image.

Yes shadow catcher is supported. You find this option on the diffuse material type.

Thanks Mat, but what about the background? How to render the image in the background? No support for that?

I dont understand clearly what you are trying to do. If i didnt get you wrong, make another scene for background image, use same camera and use standart max renderer for speed. Comp them together.
