Noob question here.. sorry.
I am rendering a laptop and can't work out how to make the screen look 'Bright' it doesn't need to throw light on anything necessarily just look 'brighter' than everything else.
I have a .PSD of a screen capture that I have tried to place in the 'Emission' channel but no joy. It works in the diffuse channel but doesn't look 'backlit' any help hugely welcome
Cheers!

Hi Poke,
you need to load the psd into the emission channel by first using texture emission from the C4Doctane tab there. Then go into the texture emission and load your psd into "efficiency or texture" tab. You may need very little power like 0.1 or 0.2 to just make it a bit brigther and "fake" the backlighting.
Hope that helps,
Greetings,
ChrisVis

By the way ChrisViz are you a Beta tester or am I way behind on my C4D plugin version?
The newest one I'm offered on the website is 0.5.0 and you seem to have 0.6.9 or summink

Hi Pokeit,
I am not a actual choosen beta tester, but I use the plugin a lot and did animation tests with every versions the last few weeks and reported my problems to aoktar, so it feels like a bit of beta testing, yes.
You can download the last version from several threads,
actual is 0.6.9b with SDK 1.18... get it here:

This version is very stable for me now, not rock solid, but quite usable for my work without headaches. Use the dlls in the non-fast directories, these are more stable.
The dll in the fast directory gives you more speed with the full scene update process (about 25% faster for me), but has some more stability issues for animation renderings with full scene update.
Next version maybe with SDK 1.20, that should be even more stable...
Greets,
ChrisVis
