Urgent request

I have an urgent request.
My Blue & Gold parrot stepped on the keyboard when I was 20 hours into a render, and just happened to delete the render target and stop the rendering. I think it would be a really useful function in Octane to put a force field around the keyboard and mouse that pushes pets away from them. Nothing shocking like in Star Trek, just a nudge, you know?

Just a suggestion but, did you notice that you could unplug your USB device ???
No forcefield needed then XD.
I know how much that's frustrating because my cat love to play near my computer.

yeah, known feeling..especially when my cat tries to lay on any electronic device =) Bought a keyboard with ability to unplug the wire from itself, rather than taking out usb from the back of pc =) but find easier to just get my tabletand keyboard itself put sideways bythewall =) if I don't want to mess with wire when pc get in power saving mode & switch the mnitor =)

Since it was a parrot, did he have anything to say for himself?
Did he at least confess?... or did he take the 5th?

Hey, I like the USB idea! Never thought of that.
if I don't want to mess with wire when pc get in power saving mode & switch the mnitor =)
That could be a problem. I wonder if my system will have a problem with that. Only one way to find out!
Since it was a parrot, did he have anything to say for himself?
He said, "HI!"

Now he just needs to know how to minimize Octane before biting on the buttons and standing on them.
Ahhh, the classic parroty error ...

LOL!

Can't you just minimize Octane?... it will keep rendering, no?...

Yes.........Unless you forget to do it!

While it was open, I naturally had left the render node selected. So when my parrot stepped on the keyboard, he just happened to land on the delete key. LOL! Out of 110 keys, he just happened to choose the keys in the delete key neighborhood.
From now on, I think I'll do two things: Deselect the render node just to be safe, and minimize Octane. Which should always work...Unless my parrot figures out how to restore the Octane window, reselect the render node, and hit delete.

I am lucky to have a cat that only chases mice, not keyboards
I have three mice on my desk and when I am away I hope he does not chace the one that deletes targetnodes
